Lumecca
Intense pulsed light is your key to healthier, smoother skin with minimal downtime.
We provide more than just drip treatments at Nourished IV. To help you improve your skin’s tone and texture, we use the Lumecca intense pulsed light device, which targets damaged and dull skin. Once your skin heals naturally, you can experience a more youthful, smoother glow.

How It Works
To treat discoloration, Lumecca directly targets cells with hyperpigmentation. As the bright flashes from the light hit your unwanted discoloration, it breaks down the cells and triggers your natural healing processes.
Once your skin starts recovering, your cells are less likely to grow back with the same amount of chromophores (the molecules responsible for darkness and redness in the skin). As a result, your skin can appear healthier and brighter in just a few sessions.
Our handheld device can also treat damaged skin with the same technology. By encouraging your skin to repair and regrow, you can reduce sun damage and scarring for a smoother complexion.
Pre-Care & Post-Care Instructions
-
If you have taken Accutane within the last 6 months, you will need to wait until a full 6 months have passed before receiving treatment with Lumecca.
-
Avoid UV exposure by staying out of direct sunlight and tanning beds for 4 to 6 weeks. Use sunscreen whenever you must go outside.
-
Starting 1 week before your appointment, stop using retinol and harsh exfoliants on your treatment area.
-
Do not take medications that make you more sensitive to light (ex: doxycycline, minocycline) within 3 days of your treatment.
-
Expect redness and a warm sensation in your treatment area for a few hours after receiving intense pulsed light.
-
Use only gentle cleansers on your skin for the next 2 to 3 days. Keep your skin hydrated and use sunscreen to protect it from potential damage.
-
For 1 week after your appointment, do not use harsh chemicals, exfoliants, or scrubs on your treatment area.
-
Be prepared for your treated dark spots or red areas to become darker before they fade away. This is normal, as your skin is preparing to heal your pigmentation.
